In 2006 our adventure as regional theater herein Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality began. The first thing I wanted to do - as a thank you to the area - was to organize a street theater-festival. This was a way to show the locals what kind of theatertradition we at Teatret OM are a part of. We invited groups, whom we have known for many years, and whom we knew produced theater of high quality. We involved the local children in an opening parade and used the city's areas in new and different ways. As time went on, we begun the present performances in nature. Nature is beautiful, wild and an important part of the region. In 2009 we named the festival UR-NAT International Performing Arts Festival, where we transformed the word 'natur' into 'ur-nat' - an anagram, the prehistoric night.
