The theme for UR-NAT 2019 was building bridges: A bridge is a comma in the sky, a bridge in space. A bridge is the opposite of a wall.

UR-NAT 2019 was the 5th festival of its kind and coincided with Teatret OM’s 30th anniversary. UR-NAT presented unexpected artistic encounters in nature, in open urban spaces, and in other secret locations. In 2019, the UR-NAT festival also aimed to create strong connections between international artists and the local community, bringing visual and musical performing arts into urban spaces and the West Jutland nature. Genre-wise, UR-NAT 2019 featured performance art, contemporary circus, physical theatre, dance, sound art, and installation art.
