In 2022, the focus was on how humans transform nature, and nature transforms the human-made.
With UR-NAT 2022, we sought out new locations and took the audience on a discovery of the rich and varied nature around us: out into the forest and the North Sea. We therefore invited performances that allied themselves, engaged in dialogue and united with the sea, the forest and the city, in our unique Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality – Nature's Kingdom. The UR-NAT festival involved streets, squares and nature and brought performing arts to the whole of Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality. All activities were free for participants and the audience.
66 international artists populated Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality in the days leading up to and during the festival. Together we created joint events that also involved children and adults in the municipality.
